Rated: G “Your Sailor…Sailor Mercury?” She kissed him and turned her attention onto Fish Eye. “You’ve crossed the line this time Fish Breath.” She heard footsteps behind her and knew her friends had decided to help after all. “You guys fight Fish Eye. I’ll take care of Rowen.” As soon as those words left her mouth Rowen began to scream. Fish Eye held his dark blue dream mirror and started cracking it over her leg. "NO STOP! I WON’T LET YOU DESTROY HIS DREAM! MERCURY AQUA RHAPSODY!” In fear Fish Eye threw the mirror into the air and Mina jumped up to catch it. “Put it back in Raye.” Raye grabbed it and ran over to Rowen. “You Sailor Scouts will pay for that…soon.” Her water portal opened and she jumped through it. Sailor Mercury ran to Rowen who seemed to be recovering. “Amy.” He smiled. The other girls gasped. “How do you know it is Amy?” Serena asked. “He recognized my voice.” “Is this your secret? The secret I saw in your eyes that troubles you. I should have guessed it. But I guess since I know your secret, you ought to know mine. I don’t always go by Rowen Hashiba.” Amy nodded for him to continue. “I also go by Rowen of Strata. I am a Ronin Warrior.” Amy smiled and kissed him. Her friends’ eyes bulged out of their heads as they watched. ~ “You guys.” said Rowen running back into the temple. “The girls are not our enemy.” “How do you know?” asked Cye. “I have talked to them. And one of them saved my life.” “You’ve talked to them? And you believe them?!” yelled Ryo. “Yes I do.” “You’re just as stupid as they are.” “I’m a lot smarter than you.” “How do you know they aren’t tricking you? How do you know they aren’t setting a trap?” “Well I am just going to have to trust them.” “Trust them? Ha! I’ll trust them as far as I can throw them.” “That’s pretty far.” said Sage. “Shut up. Rowen, I am just trying to protect you. They will kill you. They are our enemies. They...” “RYO, YOU DON’T EVEN KNOW THEM!!!” “DO YOU?” “All I know is that I am in love with one of them.” Rowen stood up. “And I know I’m not the only one.” He looked at Sage. “Lita isn’t evil Ryo.” said Sage. “I love her too.” “This reminds me of Romeo and Juliet, star-crossed lovers who are forbidden to be together. You better not end up dead.” “Cye, in order to know that story, you must have been to English.” “Shut up Kento.” “The only thing I have to say is if they are your enemy so am I.” Rowen turned and walked away. “I can say the same.” Sage followed. ~ The girls were all at Raye’s temple because she promised them each a fire reading. “I want to go first.” said Serena. “You big dummy. The fire chooses the order we go in.” Raye hit her on the head with a piece of wood. She sat in front of the fire and started chanting. “I am fire, fire is sight. I am fire, fire is sight.” The fire grew and showed Mercury in the distance. The setting must have been millions of years ago. The planet was a big desert with an oasis in the north. In the center of the oasis was a palace. Around the palace was an army charging to take it. Amy was running down a giant hall lined with flowers and paintings. Her blue dress flowed behind her. She pushed open the doors to a golden throne room and ran to a man standing with his back turned to her. “Rowen, they are coming ever closer. Our army is falling to their strength.” He turned around with the look of worry in his eyes. He knew they would probably be killed that day no matter how many plans he drew out. Yet he still said, “I will not let them harm you. I don’t care what happens to me. I will protect you princess.” “You don’t need to call me princess, prince.” She was shivering in fear. He grabbed her hand and pulled her into his arms. For a moment she felt like everything would be all right. The warmth of his embrace would shield her from the negative forces. Then they heard a crash. The doors to their palace had finally been forced open. Rowen held her tighter as she let out a short scream. “Come on.” He pulled her along the great hall, and out of the palace. They ran over the giant moat surrounding the castle. He realized that they couldn’t go anywhere safe because the soldiers were everywhere. He held Amy close and kissed her on top of her head. He looked at her terrified face and held her hand. “Amy, can I kiss you one last time.” She nodded and he leaned over and kissed her. It was a short kiss seeing how there was an army in front of them that’s mission on the planet was to kill them. He decided to chance it. He grabbed her hand and took of running. They didn’t get far before they were captured. They were taken to the commanding general on the planet at the time. “Hmm, what should we do with these two? We could kill them in front of a giant crowd, or we could sell them as slaves to the Queen. She is in need of a strong man.” He said looking at Rowen. “You look pretty strong.” “What will happen to Amy if you sell me?” “We will probably kill her. The queen doesn’t really need a girl slave. She prefers men because they are stronger…and many other reasons.” “If she dies I don’t want to live.” “Then that’s the way it will be. You two are sentenced to death. But I will give you one privilege. You will be buried alive but together and may you have a nice day.” They were thrown into a hole in the ground. Amy saw for the last time sunlight on her husbands face. He held her and watched as the army put a giant rock on top of the only exit. “Rowen, we are going to die.” “Don’t be afraid. We have each other. We should at least be thankful for that.” “I don’t want to die.” “Amy it’ll be okay. Death is the only adventure we haven’t faced yet. It can’t be that scary. We will be together.” “I hope so.” “Amy, I love you. And I will find you again. In another life time I will find you.” He kissed her. “Rowen…I love…you.” She struggled to keep breathing. There was still much more she wanted to tell him. She started to panic and breath harder. She breathed in then out, and then she breathed her final breath. “…Amy? Amy! Amy please say something! Amy wake up please! AMY! AMY NO!!” He shook her body hoping that she would look at him, or groan or something. But she didn’t even so much as breathe. He started crying uncontrollably. He had lost the only person he ever cared about. How could he try to keep living when his reason for living was dead? He kissed her forehead then sunk into eternal sleep. The fire died down. ~ Rowen shot out of his bed. Was that dream a vision from his former life? Were Amy and he destined for each other? ~ “So Rowen was my husband? I guess he found me.” “Amy is so lucky.” said Lita. “The fire is showing another vision.” This time it was Venus. It was about the same time period of the previous vision. The castle was on fire and Mina was running from it. She was breathing hard and running faster then she ever thought she could. There was a hand on her back pushing her to go even faster. The hand belonged to Cye and he was telling her to keep running. He was looking behind him at the army chasing them. “I can’t let them get to you.” Cye was desperate to get Mina out of harms way. He was willing to sacrifice himself in order to make sure she would live. He loved her that much. “Cye, I can’t go any further.” Mina hadn’t realized that the hill they had been running up was a volcano. “Try and go around the crater. We are going to get out of this. I promise you.” She carefully but quickly worked herself around the crater hoping to God she didn’t fall in. Cye held her hand and ran in front of her. As if he were reading her mind he told her, “Don’t worry sweat heart. I won’t let you fall in.” Mina kept telling herself not to look down but she couldn’t fight the urge. The magma was bubbling and seemed to be calling her name. She felt as though she were on fire just looking at it. But at the same time she felt the icy cold breath of death on her neck. It was beckoning her. She knew she would not get out of this alive. “Oh no!” Cye yelled. Mina finally turned her attention back to what was happening and saw what Cye was referring to. The army had surrounded the volcano and now there was nowhere to go. “This was stupid of me. I worked us into a corner. I am so sorry about this.” “It’s okay Cye. This isn’t your fault.” “Yes it is. You are going to die because of my idiocy. Forgive me.” “But you couldn’t have known. I don’t blame you for this Cye. I love you.” He smiled then looked back behind him and down the volcano. He knew what he had to do; he just didn’t want to endure it alone. “Well Honey, we have two choices. We can wait for them to get here and catch us, put us on trial, and kill us slowly and painfully or we can jump into the volcano for a quicker death.” “But it will still be painful. The magma won’t kill us quickly.” “We will only feel little of it. The fall alone should kill us. The fact that we are up so high and we are going to land in liquid hot magma should kill us faster than jumping onto solid ground. Trust me. This one last time” “I trust you. I’d rather take the chance and die in the volcano with you, then risk dying without you.” She grabbed his hand and smiled at him. Cye grabbed her and kissed her. He took a final look at her and wiped away a tear running down her cheek. “Don’t cry darling. We are together and that is all that matters now. Don’t be afraid. I promise I will find you wherever God chooses to send us. I refuse to be without you.” He kissed her once more. He feared the fact that he was going to lose her but then realized that their love for each other would never let them separate. He smiled at her, ran his fingers through her hair one last time, and then they both jumped into the volcano still holding each other’s hand. ~ Cye jumped in his bed, sat up and noticed Rowen was awake. “Couldn’t sleep either?” Rowen asked. “Not anymore.” He replied. Was Mina really destined to be with me? “Hey Ro, what do you think about Mina?” “Well at first I didn’t think much about her but after they saved my life…I guess she’s cool. I don’t know that much about her though so you are asking the wrong person. Why do you want to know anyway?” “Just curious. Maybe I was a little to mean to her.” |
